About Kickoff Status
Most FBS conferences now require schools to publish official player availability reports before conference games, and each conference posts them on its own site in its own format. Kickoff Status puts them in one place: every report, every team, every week, with each status change between reports logged and time-stamped.
We check the official sources every 15 minutes during report windows (Tuesday morning through Saturday night) and every two hours otherwise, normalise the statuses (Out, Doubtful, Questionable, Game-time decision, Probable, Available) and rebuild the site.
How we collect
Every page credits and links to the conference's own public availability report page. Our collector identifies itself (KickoffStatusBot, contact [email protected]), makes one request at a time with a pause between requests, skips files that haven't changed, and only checks a conference frequently when it has games that week. - Coverage is conference games (plus non-conference games when the league reports them).
- Reports list availability status only, not injury details.
